@hangar24's tasting flight..

Just thought you would want to check out that video.
I found it hilarious.

HILARIOUS!
On to day 8!!!

DAY 8

Today was a Yoga-tastic day! The dog didn’t escape, either. Strangely enough the answer was to give her the appearance of more freedom, not take it away. I just took her out of the kennel and put her on a long, long, long leash and she was fine! YAY!!!

Anyway, I took my English mid-term today, and returned to the dog sitting place to work out with my WII!

OK, I am going to run this one a little bit different than normal. I am going to take you step by step through my work out. I will stop every time I do something and write about it.

Body Test

This is where you find out your BMI (otherwise known as the self esteem reducer), your center of balance, and your WII AGE (which is how old you are, taking into account your fitness as well)

CENTER OF BALANCE

When i was doing this test I could have sworn I was leaning forward. Guess what? I was leaning back! I was well back, but they don’t give us measurements for back to front.
Anyway I was leaning 54% on my right foot and 46% on my left. Ever since I started this damn thing I have leaned more on my right than on my left, and they keep telling me that once i get my center of balance down I will be immune to cancer or something equally ridiculous. However, I believe them. After all they did create that Dr. Mario game for Gameboy! It was like Tetris, but infinitely worse…

BMI (Body Mass Index)

Thanks to the Wii finally figuring out i was 180ish instead of 170ish I am a GIANT FAT ASS. My last BMI was 27.13 and today I am at a solid 27.00! Hey progress is progress right? The great thing about this is the higher our BMI (and thus weight) the fatter they make your little Mii. Wow, that makes me feel fucking fantastic to watch my poor 3 inch representation of myself become just as wide as he is tall. Sigh.

Anyway, according to the Wii I still need to lose 34 pounds to become healthy!

OK I know I do not need to lose that much, but the Wii cannot take into account different body types. I am built a little bit wider than others, but I think I could stand to lose a little less than 20. Hopefully I can do it.

Most hilarious quote of encouragement from that section:

“Great you are approaching your goal at a good pace!”

I have lost 3 lbs, but according to the Wii I have gained 7. Ha ha.

Wii Age

I did a steadiness test and a balance test for my Wii age tests, and BOY did I misunderstand the fist test. I got a zero and that really screwed up my Wii Age. Normally i am around my age, but today i was 43!

43!!! Wow, I guess that is what happens when you get a zero on a test. That is one thing about the body test items that I would complain about. Sometimes it is misleading exactly what they want.

Training

Yoga

Wii Fit - Yoga Publicity Photo

  • Half Moon – 83 pts (personal best)
  • Warrior – 91 pts
  • Tree – 61 pts (go to hell)
  • Sun Salutation – 85 pts (personal best)
  • Standing Knee – 90 pts (wii record)
  • Palm Tree – 70 pts
  • WOOO! NEW YOGA POSE UNLOCKED!!!

  • Chair – 46 pts (holy shit is this death?)
  • That concludes my yoga. I find that it is good for me to do one round of yoga before I do anything else. It is a good warm up. I get focused on my breathing and all stretched out. Yoga is one workout you can do everything for sure.

    Strength

    Wii Fit - Push UP

  • Push Up & Side Plank – 100 pts
  • Torso Twist – 81 pts

  • This is when my legs started just SHAKING.

  • Rowing Squat – 100 pts (easiest thing)
  • Single-Leg Twist – 61 pts (first time)
  • Sideways Leg Lift – 58 pts (first time)
  • Plank – 47 pts (first time)

    I unlocked the JACKKNIFE CHALLENGE!
    I unlocked the TRICEP EXTENSION!
I unlocked 30 Reps on ROWING SQUAT!
The best way to have to get results is to not rush this and focus on slow sustained movements. These slow sustained movements are going to create really long muscles, which according to Dustin Boyd are the strongest muscles. The only thing is they aren’t BIG, so if you couldn’t figure it out by now if you want to get really BIG do not depend on a Wii Fit.

The single leg twist exercise is like a Nazi salute combined with a very gay “I’m a little tea pot.”

Tricep Extension is weird. It uses the wiimote to sense where you arm is in the excesice but it isn’t very accurate sometimes. That is probably why they don’t give points for this one. Also, they say that you can increase the weight if you want. So essentially the wiimote in this is completely un-needed and you are just on your own with this one.

    Recap
Holy crap! My abs are shaking, my arms are killing me, and my legs can barely move. This is the hardest I have worked out with this thing ever. I am at 34 minutes total for this work out. WOW.

Wii Fit - Training MenuOH i just noticed an “easter egg” of sorts. When you are on the main “training page” with the buttons Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, Balance Games, and Favorites on the right, you can click on the balance board in the back who is fake boxing, and you can take the ULTIMATE BALANCE TEST. I am not doing that today, though.

    Training Over

Well this one killed me. Normally I do an aerobics at the end, but I am officially spent and I can barely move. Do I sound like a complete nob? Guess what though? This thing seems to be working its magic!

There is your in depth look at what I do. The only real training tips I have are change up your routine because your muscles get used to what you do, and also do not work out the same area of the body two days in a row. Muscles need time to recover. What I do is one day I do Yoga and Aerobics. The next day I do Yoga and Strength and it seems to be working out fine for me.

See you all tomorrow… hopefully. Though I do have a History final to take…

This is the original of the above video.
